![]() ![]() and ofc consult that with your PC and wallet.īut trust me, GPO cannot even begin to compare to the quality of proper Kontakt/sampled libraries.Īlso bear in mind even if you had the best libraries, So you will have to do your research and see which Orchestral libraries sound better to you, The options here are too wide and taste/goal-dependent as to recommend an easy route, or an all-in-one solution. It's good enough to Draft the ideas, but if you want Realism/perfection you need proper quality sampled libraries. In any case I don't think GPO can be considered the pinnacle of realism. Maybe it's a matter of panning/positioning the instruments on the stereo field? If it's the same instruments playing the same exact notes (velocity), I know Reaper is amazing and amazing music can be produced with it, to try to suade your dislike of Sibelius I invite you to listen to this on Sibelius and plugin NotePerfomer. ![]() So I'm stuck again in my quest for even more realistic sound. I don't think the expression marks are the problem, it is the timber of the instruments that is wrong, I added reverb which helped a little but high notes on the violins still sound terrible.Ī respected composer in the Sibelius forum adviced me to import the audio to Reaper to give it the finishing touches but as you point out I also find there is not much that can be done with the audio files. The problem I find is it sounds dreadful, a hundred times worse than the original. I started another thread in this neubie section "Sibelius to Reaper" the 26th of September, a very kind member helped me a long way, so I have another Reaper project from the same Sibelius score in which I imported midi files and then through the Garritan Aria Player imported the original instruments used in the Sib. ![]() I feared as much, I am a totaly newbie to the world of DAWS perhaps I shall remain so, I have used Sibelius for 20 years so of course I disagree with you but that is fine, you're right from your side and I'm right from mine. ![]()
